Restorative Justice

Restorative justice repairs the harm caused by crime. When victims, offenders and community members meet to decide how to do that, the results can be transformational. Here at CCS we aim to be a positive asset to the community. We want to connect and improve on individuals by continuously  improving relationships within their spheres and our world.  Restorative Justice shifts the focus of discipline from punishment to learning and from the individual to the community. However, it is often misperceived and misapplied. The goal of restorative justice is to work with students (the victims and the accused) to come to a solution rather than simply handing down punishment. Restorative justice seeks to fix the problem, impose fair punishment, foster understanding, and adjust student behavior.
